College Athletic Recruiting FAQs:

1. Is it only the top players in the stat who will be recruited?
   No. In fact, oten the top athletes don't get offers because they don't understand the recruiting process, while students with not as much athletic talent get lots of offers because they know how to research schools and market themselves.
2. Does Alaska Northstars Athlete Advising really work?
   Yes! 100% of the over 100 Alaskan soccer players in our programs have had contact with coaches, nearly tripling the number of college signings in just two years! The same can happen for top athletes from all Alaska sports.
3. When is the time to start the recruiting process?
   The Athlete Advising program works best when students start early junior year. You may start the program in your senior year, but some opportunities may be lost.
4. Can I do the recruiting process on my own?
   Absolutely, but most don't know all the steps to take (we'll show you), or what schools to market to (we'll identify them for you), don't have the time it takes to get started (we do the initial work for you), or don't want to spend the money to do all that is needed (our system saves for you).

Two-hour personal consultation on collegiate options with Dan Rufner, M.Ed - Counseling and Guidance and/or Dan Pinkerton, M.Ed. - Counseling and Guidance
Step-by-step instructions and personal guidance through the entire recruiting process.
Recruitment planning portfolio full of information on the recruiting process, college research, the admissions process, scholarship opportunities, and financial aid packages.
Assistance with creating and editing of your player profile, including semester updates
Access to premier database listing all sports from more than 1300 four-year schools and 250 junior colleges in North America.
Custom "target list" of colleges matching your academic, athletic, and personal interests.
Professional Letter of Interest, created for you and sent by us, to all schools on your target list.
Personal communication with college coaches.
Guidance on creating a personal video and posting web-based video clips.
Accurate speed timing to create specific and desired statistics.
Information on camps and tournaments where you are most likely to be seen by the coaches you want to be seen by.
